Course Overview:
This course aims to introduce students to organic chemistry's fundamental concepts and principles. It covers topics such as the structure of organic compounds, bonding, nomenclature, functional groups, and reactions.
Course Objectives:
Ø Understand the structure and bonding in organic compounds.
Ø Learn the nomenclature and classification of organic compounds.
Ø Identify and understand the properties of different functional groups.
Ø Study the mechanisms and types of organic reactions.
Course Formatting:
Ø A meeting for two hours every week: 2:00 -4:00 pm Zoom meeting

Ø The first hour will be dedicated to summarizing the basic concepts discussed in the recorded lectures and reading assignments.
Ø The second hour will be devoted to solving questions, oral exams, assignments, and short quizzes.
Ø A WhatsApp will be created to ensure continuous communication, where you may like to ask questions and raise any concern related to the topic.
Ø The course is designed in a way that depends mainly on self-learning through attending the recorded lectures, reading, and solving the assigned questions.
